Author's Kit

All papers accepted to the archival track will be published in the LNICST series (Lecture Notes of ICST) in cooperation with Springer and will be available on-line through Springer Link.

Format instructions

  1. Papers presented at this conference must be prepared according to LNICST style instructions.
  2. Archival papers can be at most 12 pages in the LNICST format. Working papers can be any length, but must be in PDF format.
  3. Please refer to the readme.txt file for a guide on what is located in Springer-Verlag LNICST ftp directory. This directory includes author instructions as well as templates and style sheets to make formatting your submission easier.
  4. You can chose whether you want to prepare your paper in LaTeX or in word. However, we recommend LaTeX, especially for archival papers.
  5. Failure to meet the formatting guidelines set by Springer-Verlag LNICST could result in your paper not being included in the Proceedings.

Camera-Ready submission guidelines for LNICST in ASSYST

To be able to upload your Camera Ready Paper you need to register to the conference first. Upon successful registration, you will receive an activation code on your screen as well as a confirmation e-mail about it. This is the code that you have to insert when uploading your Camera Ready paper.

  1. Register to the conference
  2. Log in to ASSYST with the password you have received with your notification e-mail about your paper acceptance. If you cannot find your password in that e-mail, please, use the “Reset Password” function.
  3. Once you have logged in, please go to “My Profile” in the main menu and fill out all the mandatory fields of your profile. Without completing this step, the system will not show you as author next to your paper and will not list you in the author’s list.
  4. After filling out all the fields in “My Profile” please, click on SAVE. You cannot go further without filling out all the mandatory fields.
  5. Now, select the conference/ workshop from the list where you want to submit your camera ready paper.

  7. Before uploading your paper, you have to meet the following two requirements:
  8. Step I: Registration

    • You need to copy and paste this code into the check box.
    • Click on Activate.

Next step is to provide some information on your paper (Title, Abstract and Keywords). Click on NEXT.

On the next page please, add all the co-authors of your paper by clicking on Add Additional Authors. When you have added all the co-authors, please, click on NEXT.

    Step II: Copyright

    • ASSYST will automatically generate the Copyright agreement from the data you have provided on the previous pages.
    • Please, check your data carefully and in case there are any discrepancies go back and edit them.
    • When everything is correct, read the terms of the copyright agreement. Please, do not forget to scroll down the text in the text-box before you click on “I Agree”. You can also print the text by clicking on “Print” button.
    • In the pop-up window you have to confirm your agreement by choosing: “I confirm that I agree to the terms”.
    • After agreeing to the Terms, you will receive an e-mail confirmation from ICST with a link and an electronic version of the Copyright Agreement in a PDF file. This is the document that you must keep for further references.
    • YOU CANNOT UPLOAD YOUR PAPER WITHOUT AGREEING TO THE COPYRIGHT FORM.

  9. After completing the copyright agreement step, you can upload your camera ready paper.
  10. IMPORTANT:

    • Create the required files (MS Word or LaTeX plus the .PDF)
    • Pack these files into a ZIP file.
    • Upload this .zip file as your camera ready paper

    NOTE:

  11. If you need to make any further modifications on your paper, you may do so by clicking on the “Manage my Papers” and “View my Papers” link up until the Camera Ready Deadline is over.
